Good Morning Youtinians.  Spring has finally arrived, and April will bring many new releases from Star Wars publishers. So many good things are coming down the pipeline, especially for us High Republic fans! Here are a few that we’re really looking forward to coming up in April:

  • The High Republic: Into the Light by Claudia Gray: This young adult book will pull us into the final wave of Phase III of The High Republic!

    • It has all been building up to this, and who better to kick off the final wave than the queen of Star Wars publishing herself, Claudia Gray? She introduced Padawan Reath Silas in Phase I’s Into the Dark, and now we will see him as a fully realized Jedi Knight.

    • We don’t yet know many of the specifics of this book. Still, we definitely know that the Jedi will face the ultimate trifecta in this final wave: the Nihil, the blight, and the Nameless.

    • We won’t have to wait long because the book will be out on April 1st!

  • The High Republic: The Edge of Balance: Premonition by Daniel José Older and Haining & The High Republic: The Edge of Balance Vol 4 by Daniel José Older, Shima Shinya, and Mizuki Sakakibara: Two new manga books join the High Republic lineup next month!

    • Both of these manga will feature the fight against the Nihil on Banchii with the powerful Jedi Masters Master Arkoff and Master Sav Malagan.

    • If you’re a fan of The High Republic but haven’t yet read The Edge of Balance manga series, we highly recommend including them in your journey, especially if you’re into horror.

    • The Edge of Balance: Premonition will be released on April 8th, followed by The Edge of Balance Vol 4 on April 22nd.

  • The High Republic Adventures: Echoes of Fear by George Mann and Vincenzo Federici: This trade paperback collects all four issues of the Echoes of Fear miniseries.

    • This miniseries covers Reath Silas and Amadeo Azzazzo as they try to uncover the mysteries of the Echo Stones, which seem to be related to the Nameless.

    • If you haven’t read this comic yet, it can serve as a great refresher before getting into this final wave of The High Republic.

    • This trade paperback will hit shelves on April 22nd.

We're all fine here now — how are you? These are just a few Star Wars reads we can’t wait to check out next month. So much of our reading lists will be rich in The High Republic over the next few months as the initiative comes to its highly anticipated finale!

Fans of exclusive editions will be excited to learn that Goldsboro Books and Inkstone Books have announced limited-run editions of The Acolyte: Wayseeker, complete with cover reveals!

  • The novel takes place in the High Republic Era when Vernestra Rwoh struggles to find her place amongst the Jedi after her extended time as a Wayseeker in the Outer Rim.

  • The Jedi Council orders her back to the Temple on Coruscant. After she initially refuses, Master Indara travels to her, and the journey begins.

  • Can Rwoh see past the complicated world of politics and underworld crime to be at peace with what it means to serve for light and life?

Both Goldsboro and Inkstone have been wowing Star Wars readers with stunning special editions for several years now.

  • Goldsboro, which is celebrating 25 years of bookselling, offers an edition with a cracked, marbled effect on its back cover, with the High Republic Crest emblazoned dead center. The edges of the pages will be sprayed green with "Wayskeeker" in purple Aurebesh.

  • The Inkstone edition’s back cover features a golden image of Vernestra's signature ‘whip’ lightsaber. The edges of the pages are sprayed green with a purple pattern derived from her Mirialan tattoos.

  • The Inkstone edition is limited to 500 copies.

  • Goldsboro’s edition is limited to 1000 copies.

  • Both editions, already available for preorder, will be signed by the amazing author, Justina Ireland. They ship on May 6th, close enough to Star Wars Day to make an excellent gift!
