Good Morning Youtinians.  Get ready to launch into hyperspace! Star Wars Celebration is this week. We will cover all of the breaking news and announcements on social media and recap on our site. We cannot wait and hope those at Celebration have an incredible time.

New Darth Vader Novel Announced

A new Darth Vader novel was announced last week ahead of Celebration Japan!

Master of Evil: Check out the incredible cover image of this haunting new novel.

  • This new novel will cover Vader's descent into evil immediately following the events of Revenge of the Sith as he tries to uncover the secrets of the Sith's ability to elude death.

  • Master of Evil will be written by Adam Christopher, best known in Star Wars publishing for his 2022 novel Shadow of the Sith.

  • We can expect Master of Evil to hit bookstore and library shelves on November 11th of this year!

Other Publishing News: We're anticipating even more big publishing news to come out of Celebration this weekend, but along with the novel announcement, we got a few more bits of good news!

Star Wars Outlaws New DLC World Premiere Date Revealed

Many months ago, in November 2024, we reported on DLCs for Ubisoft's Star Wars: Outlaws and the first DLC Wild Card. The expansion would offer players new ways to explore the game with added quests and missions, and most importantly, the introduction of our all-time favorite hustler, Lando Calrissian with the added extra of a Sabacc game in tow!

The announcement that the newest DLC reveal is about to drop this week! That's right, friends. A glimpse will be given on the first day of the Star Wars Celebration in Japan. For those of us at home, we can go crazy. For those in the land of the rising sun, you can wait until you return to your faithful ole' home computer.

What Is The Downlow?

  • We have not yet been updated on the little details of the DLC, which has us eager in anticipation for the news to come from Celebration.

  • We can speculate that Hondo, although pirating and smuggling, was working with the Rebellion about the time of Outlaws, we await to see if he is Kay Vess' friend or foe!

Speak Softly And Drive A Big Tank!

Well, friends, how amazing is it that the incredible Jim Cummings spoke this line in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels? Now, ComicBookMovie has dropped big news:

  • They interviewed Jim Cummings about the possibility of him voicing the sly and cunning pirate smuggler in a live-action role.

  • Cummings confirmed, "I did the facial recognition for Hondo Ohnaka for an upcoming project, so stay tuned [for] that."

We're all fine here now—how are you? Does this mean Cummings and Hondo are about to grace our screens in the 2026 movie The Mandalorian and Grogu, or is another massive announcement about to be made in Japan? While it is likely for Outlaws, the potential of the other ideas is exciting.
