“Trials of the Jedi” Cover and Synopsis Revealed 📕

New Manga Set in Sequel Trilogy Announced

Good Morning Youtinians.  January has passed, and February is among us. There has been plenty of Star Wars news that is sure only to pick up as we get closer to Star Wars Celebration. It can be overwhelming, but our mission is to bring you the most important news in one place!

Trials of the Jedi Cover and Synopsis Revealed

You can now check out the official cover of The High Republic: Trials of the Jedi by Charles Soule and read the new synopsis!

The Cover: The cover reveal is everything we had hoped it would be, and it fits perfectly with the image of the High Republic era that the publishing initiative has crafted.

  • Elzar Mann and Avar Kriss are featured prominently, along with a few other Jedi, as they all rush toward something in the distance that is not viewable on the cover.

  • Artist Grant Griffin designed this cover, and its colors — deep shades of pink and yellow — signal a hopeful return to peace for the Republic and the galaxy.

  • According to Charles Soule’s newsletter, the book clocks in at about 125,000 words and will actually have a wraparound cover image, so this current reveal is only half of the art that the final product will feature!

The Synopsis: A few days after the cover reveal, we also got a full synopsis for Trials of the Jedi!

  • The synopsis is a little more than 300 words and covers the despair, fear, and frustration that the Jedi and the Republic have endured under the terror-filled reign of the Nihil.

  • Perhaps the most interesting bit of the synopsis is the new information that Avar Kriss and Elzar Mann will lead a team of nine Jedi to the homeworld of the Nameless to uncover that mystery fully and — hopefully — return a semblance of peace to the galaxy.

  • This final adult novel will officially end the High Republic publishing initiative. However, many of the authors and artists behind these works have already hinted at further stories yet to come in the Jedi’s golden era.

We're all fine here now — how are you? We cannot wait to get our hands on Trials of the Jedi on June 17th, but thankfully, there are a ton of good Star Wars novels between now and then to hold us over. What are you most looking forward to?
